Your write up on the stockmarket displays some of the highest level of honesty I have ever come across. I certainly can’t help but to totally agree with you that news based trading makes the stock price tick, up or down. Whatever news it is: whether contract win, down orders, termination talks with a take over company, mergers and acquisitions etc etc. Personally, I trade based on explicable parameters, which include company fundamentals and news and so on. I believe that my time is so precious that no chartists can afford to distract me. Therefore,I don’t look at them too seriously, except as a drawings on a pad. Anyone who has made some profit from trading based on charts alone may have done so, in my opinion, purely on coincidence. Did I just say coincidence. Yes! that’s all there is. Nothing more. The sooner people get down to the basics of stock market investing and get their hands dirty by digging into the very existence of a company, the sooner they’ll start to cash in on their priceless efforts.

Thank You Denz for your comments! I think there are a lot of people who actually think charting works (brainwashed by the spread betting trainers)! Everybody wants to make the fast buck without having to do the homework! Totally agree with fundamentals about a company! There is something I am researching but havent had the time, which is pairs trading which I think might be a better way to trade! True time is something we will never get back and is the biggest commodity we have to take care off!
